Topic Challenges

Each half term we set ourselves a different Learning Challenge. Our challenge topics for this half term are...

History - The Romans in Britain

In this term's History work we shall be looking at the Roman invasion of Britannia and the resistance that they came up against in the form of Boudicca and the Celts. We shall be looking at the legacies left behind and what still remains today!

Science - States of Matter

This half-term's Science topic is 'States of Matter'. In this science unit we will be learning about solids, liquids and gases and the changes that can occur between them. We will be doing lots of fun experiments and investigations too!

Class Read

This term we are reading ‘The Land of Roar' by Jenny McLachlan.

Believing is just the beginning...

'When Arthur and Rose were little, they were heroes in the Land of Roar, an imaginary world that they found by climbing through the folding bed in grandad's attic. Roar was full of things they loved - dragons, mermaids, ninja wizards and adventure - as well as things that scared them!

Now the twins are eleven, Roar is just a memory. But when they help Grandad clean the attic out, Arthur is horrified as Grandad is pulled into the folding bed and vanishes...
