We also have our own Learning Wall - see link below. We use the resources on the Wall to research out topics and curriculum work in school. Please use these resources at home to further develop your child's learning.

Year 5 Curriculum Overview

Topic Challenges

Our topic this term is 'Contrasting Localities' - where we will be comparing physical and human features in Grasmere and Kearsley.

This ties in with our Year 5 residential trip to Grasmere which took place in sunny September. Take a look at some of our photographs of the trip.

Class Novel

Our new class novel is 'The Iron Man' by Ted Hughes. The story is about the unexpected arrival in England of a giant 'metal man' who rains destruction on the countryside by attacking industrial farm equipment before befriending a small boy and defending the world from a monster from outer space.
